Natural Support for Anxiety & Depression
Mental health care that looks at the whole person
Personalized naturopathic care for anxiety, worry, depression, low mood, stress, burnout, and the sleep, energy, and focus problems that often come with them.
Anxiety and depression are a big part of our practice. Many of our patients come to us because they want to understand what may be contributing to how they feel, not just manage symptoms. Mood can be influenced by many factors, including sleep, stress physiology, blood sugar balance, nutrient status, thyroid and hormone changes, and digestive health.
We use a detailed review of your health history, and lab testing when appropriate, to better understand what may be contributing to your symptoms and create an individualized treatment plan.
Your care may include nutrition and lifestyle recommendations, targeted supplements, herbal medicine, auricular therapy, lab testing, and referrals as needed. Naturopathic care can be used alongside counseling or medications you already use, and we are happy to coordinate with your other providers.
Mental Health Care That Looks for Root Causes
Rather than simply managing symptoms on the surface, we look for the underlying factors that may be contributing to how you feel so treatment can be tailored to your body, your history, and your goals.
We may evaluate:
- Stress load and adrenal stress response
- Sleep quality and sleep patterns
- Thyroid function
- Hormonal shifts, including PMS, PMDD, perimenopause, and menopause
- Blood sugar balance and metabolic health
- Nutrient status, such as vitamin D, B12, folate, iron, and magnesium
- Digestive health and the gut-brain connection
- Diet, caffeine, alcohol, and daily habits that affect mood and energy
- Current medications and supplements
We also review prior lab work and order additional testing or referrals when needed.

Concerns We Commonly Support
We work with adults experiencing a wide range of mood and stress-related concerns, including:
Anxiety and Worry
Racing thoughts, constant worry, restlessness, irritability, and feeling on edge. We look at stress physiology, sleep, blood sugar, and other factors that may be contributing.
Depression and Low Mood
Low mood, loss of interest, low motivation, and fatigue. We evaluate factors such as thyroid function, nutrient status, hormones, and lifestyle that may be playing a role.
Stress and Burnout
Feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or stuck in fight-or-flight mode. We assess your stress load and stress response and build a plan to support resilience.
Sleep Problems
Trouble falling asleep, waking during the night, or waking up unrested. Poor sleep and mood often affect each other, so we address both together.
Hormone-Related Mood Changes
Mood swings, anxiety, or depression that change with your cycle, postpartum, or during perimenopause and menopause.
Brain Fog and Low Energy
Difficulty focusing, poor memory, and low energy may be linked to sleep, nutrient deficiencies, thyroid function, or blood sugar balance.
The Gut-Brain Connection
Digestive symptoms like bloating, IBS, or food sensitivities often show up alongside anxiety and low mood. We look at gut health as part of the picture.
Ready to Feel More Like Yourself Again?
You do not have to keep pushing through anxiety, low mood, stress, or poor sleep on your own. If you are ready for a more thorough, individualized approach, we can help you take the next step.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you treat anxiety and depression?
Yes. Anxiety and depression are a big part of our practice. We take time to understand your symptoms and health history, look for factors that may be contributing, and create an individualized treatment plan.
Can I see you if I already have a therapist or take medication?
Yes. Naturopathic care can be used alongside counseling and prescription medications. Please do not stop or change any prescribed medication without talking to your prescriber. We are happy to coordinate with your other providers.
What natural treatments do you use for mood?
Depending on your needs, your plan may include nutrition and lifestyle recommendations, targeted supplements, herbal medicine, auricular therapy, and support for sleep and stress.
Do you order labs for anxiety or depression?
Often, yes. Depending on your symptoms and history, labs may include thyroid testing, vitamin and mineral testing, hormone testing, blood sugar markers, and adrenal stress response testing.
Can hormones affect my mood?
Yes. Mood changes can be connected to the menstrual cycle, the postpartum period, perimenopause, menopause, and thyroid function. We consider these factors as part of your evaluation.
Is there a connection between gut health and mood?
Research continues to show links between digestive health and mood. If you have digestive symptoms along with anxiety or low mood, we look at both together.
How long before I notice a difference?
Every person is different. Some people notice changes within a few weeks, while others need more time. We monitor your progress at follow-up visits and adjust your plan as needed.
Do you take insurance?
Generally, no. Due to Colorado state licensing restrictions, we do not bill insurance for our natural health services. Please visit our Scheduling & Fees page for details.
What if I am in crisis?
Naturopathic care is not a crisis service. If you are having thoughts of harming yourself or are in crisis, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, or call 911.
What’s the first step?
The first step is to schedule a new patient appointment. If you’d like to make sure the practice is the right fit before booking, you can also schedule a free 15-minute consultation.
